Camp Day

Yesterday the place that I intern for held a camp day at Camp Thurman for its clients and their families. It was so much fun! I loved seeing all of the kids just running around and having a carefree time. I was also really impressed with Camp Thurman...it is the ideal image of what you might think a kids camp should look like. Sammy will definitely be attending when he is old enough!

Arboretum, A Few Weeks Late

A few weeks ago we went to the Arboretum in Dallas. It is one of my favorite fall spots! Every time we go though, I come back with a hundred different ideas of what I want to do with the yard {poor Mike}. Of course I picked the busiest weekend of the season to go {just like I did last year} it was the last day of the state fair and TX/OU weekend. Hook 'Em Horns! Even with the crowds it was still fun and just as beautiful as it was the year before. Also, we took Mike's parents with us this time, as they had never been before.

Oh yes there were pumpkins!

Sam playing on the "straw house" from the Three Little Pigs {Side note: There were several "storybook houses" scattered throughout the grounds of the Arboretum. One of them was the Gingerbread house from Hansel and Gretel, it was too crowded though, so no picture.}

Au Revoir, Mike

My dear Mike is leaving me for the beautiful city of lights, the city of love otherwise known as Paris {France, not Texas y'all}. I will admit that I have been nothing short of jealous. Paris is a city that I would fly across the Atlantic for. Ahh, I can just picture myself walking down these streets...but for now, pictures and tales of his travels will have to do.

Hi, How Have You Been?

Hello friends in Bloggerville and in real life! I have been insanely busy lately, and blogging has not been high on the list of priorities {which stinks, because I love blogging}. I use this blog to update family members as well as an online diary of sorts and I like to keep it current. So, here is how I have been spending my time recently: school, study, working with autistic children at a behavioral therapy center, training a rat, enjoying fall as much as possible with my family and being a dutiful matron of honor to my friend Sarah who happens to make a beautiful bride! More on all of that later! For now, I leave you with a recent picture of my adorable and rapidly-changing-before-our-eyes Sam!

Another Blustery Day

Oh the wind is lashing lustily
And the trees are thrashing thrustily
And the leaves are rustling gustily
So it's rather safe to say
That it seems that it may turn out to be
It feels that it will undoubtedly
It looks like a rather blustery day
